15 rolls into my film photography journey and this is the second b&w film I have used so far.... but the photos turned out better than expected! These photos were shot on my Olympus Mju Zoom and developed at @handsonfilm , located at 195 Pearls Hill Terrace - short walk from People's Park Complex - we also parked at a shady carpark which had no clear pricing, but all's good.
Visited the shop due to a christmas market event held there, and decided to develop my b&w film there for 10 bux (which is way cheaper than Whompoa Colour Centre which develops b&w film for 16 bux) (Also Conrad wanted to push/pull his film so we specifically went there). A particular film roll caught my eye and I'm excited to try it out soon!
Daniel from @handsonfilm was very friendly and showed many sample images on his ipad, amongst which the photos from After Hours 800 rly appealed to me, and this only cost $12 :) I also liked that it was made from recycled canister which makes it sustainable.
Here are some photos shot from the car while we were admiring the Orchard Christmas lights - didn't have a camera strap back then and Conrad was afraid that my camera would fly out the window HAHA
Photos taken with friends - mostly turned out rly well ! and once again received comments that my Olympus's lens are so sharp xd
Recently got more comfortable with asking strangers to help take photos of my friends and I with the film camera, and they are always so amused at it - a middle aged woman was so surprised that film cameras were available and that film photos were still being developed in Singapore, a group of JC students were worried that they screwed up the photo, and another woman reminisced about her younger days while commenting on my film camera.
Aaand that's about it, winter holidays are passing by so fast and I feel like I haven't done enough of what I set out to do. Shot a lot more film rolls than expected though. Merry Christmas in advance :D
