Aaaanddd.... Y3S1 is over! Time flies past in university, and it is now the winter break. I had contemplated purchasing a Contax T2 or an Olympus Mju II for the longest time (due to its price tag...), and I finally decided to settle on an Olympus Mju Zoom 140 off Carousell. While it was still being delivered over, I had a spare disposable film camera (thanks Kevin for the gift during CNY), and brought it over to Lazarus Island.
For those wondering, I bought tickets through the Sentosa website, and it was 18 per pax round trip ~ expected there to be much more people but I was able to book the tickets just a few days in advance with many vacancies left over.
Rmb to pack food, mosquito repellant, sunscreen and umbrellas etc if you are planning to explore the islands!
Honestly didn't expect the photos to turn out too well as it is a disposable camera after all... but Whompoa Colour Centre developed it pretty well! Made an impromptu decision to visit there (have been procrastinating to develop film there as it is so far away...) and was the best decision I made, will return there for future developing of film ~
It was really quiet except for random couples passing by - also spotted a geography student conducting field research
The beach was really clear and light blue in colour - unfortunately wasn't able to capture the colour well with the camera, but was a nice getaway experience! Saw many families playing in the water and even fishing as well. It was a good chilly day and the sun wasn't very strong either :D
Spent about 4 hours on both islands before hopping on the boat back to civilisation! There isn't that much stuff to do at the islands anyway ~ but saw many old couples just hanging out and chilling which was cute
Last shot to use up the roll before heading to Whompoa Colour Centre ~ It was 12 dollars to develop a roll, and I also bought 2 rolls of Kodak Colour Plus and 2 rolls of Kodak Gold - which comes with a $1 off coupon per roll (for future developing)
Can't wait for my new camera to arrive so I can shoot more film over the winter break ! Cheers :)
